This version of their 12 year (NOT to be confused with the double cask of the same age) is matured exclusively in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts., The 12 NCF, being pretty much the same exact thing except just higher strength and NCF, really did deliver on what I expected from the double cask matured Sherry monster that is the Aberlour style. Overall I really think it's a decent whisky for the money that just needs a little something..
